Indonesian Police Officer Cuts Off Traffic to Help Cat Cross the Road, Twice

Footage of a road traffic officer in Indonesia stopping oncoming cars and motorcycles to let a cat cross the road is going viral.

Posted by the Polres Muba Instagram account, the footage shows an officer, named as Brigadier Satria, guiding the cat across a busy street in Sekayu, a district in Musi Banyuasin, not once but twice, as his colleague Bripka Silaean films the scene.

Polres Muba is an information arm of police in the region.

The footage, and a number of reposts of it, have gone viral with the original post earning 2,637 likes at time of writing.
